It's Sunday

It Sunday and I just finished watching the beginning of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. I just finished watching the two hour special about the "harrowing story of the USS Indianapolis." It was so sad that it made me cry. Yes, I know that I cry easily but how horrible it must have been to have experienced that. I think that they said that over 1,000 men went into the water when the Indianapolis went down and less than 300 men made it out of the water. It is more than apparent that I can't handle watching anything that deals with death.

The rest of the day was pretty normal. We did the food shopping, cleaning out of the garage, laundry, and other mundane, boring house chores. Believe me you are not missing anything by me leaving it out.

I did do two scrap pages today. One was of Hallie and the other one was of my friend's daughter, California Jenny, Vienna. Now Vienna isn't little anymore but still just as pretty if not prettier. It's a great picture that I love that I had to scrap. I know that in the preview it shows up black but it's actually white empty space on my layout. I didn't know that empty white space on a png file shows up as black when converted to a jpg. See, you do learn something new every day.

I'm going to finish watching Rock of Love on VH1 and it's off to bed. Ciao!

It's Saturday and I scrapped a page

Ok, that's not the only thing I did all day. Hallie and I washed the dog, washed the car, weeded the garden, did the dishes, went to the library and made the bed. Ok, it may not sound like much but for a Saturday it was a lot. Whew!

So now about the page, the dog wasn't really what I had intended to scrap but after she looked so clean and smelled so nice I couldn't help but snap a picture of her and then the inspirtation just came. I'm sure at least that Mel will like it.

Ok, that's it for Saturday. I'm going to try to scrap some more before bed tonight.

There's a First Time for Everything

Ok, I've never blogged so I thought I would give it a try. It might be a good way for me to keep a journal of my life that I could apply to my scrap pages and this could be a portal for me to stay in better touch with my family and friends. It's also something that is "cool" not that I would know about that.

I guess you'll have to stay touned to see if I'm a decent blogger.
